Founded in Minden, NV with the core value of providing safe, practical, professional, and relaxing firearms training to individuals and groups, ODM Defense is a positive training environment to improve and perfect you knowledge and skills as a responsible gun owner.
ODM Defense uses practical methods during our training evolutions to make the student really think about and analyze what it is they are doing, why they are doing it, and what the intended outcome is. Whether it is a CCW class, a first-time shooters class, Hunters Ed, or advanced pistol, the staff at ODM Defense place a heavy emphasis on the “why”. Why do we do things a certain way, why we approach certain methods a certain way… Its the why that helps the student recognize, acknowledge, and accept the information being presented.

Concealed Carry
Learn the ins and outs of carrying a concealed firearm. Safety, Mindset, Nomenclature, Local, State, and Federal Laws, Basic Fundamentals & Shooting Skills, Marksmanship, Written Exam & Range Qualification. This class covers the state minimum requirement & much, MUCH more.
Ladies Only Orientation
We pride ourselves on providing a safe, comfortable, and relaxing training environment where new shooters can feel free to ask whatever questions come to mind, and get hands-on training on all levels of firearm handling and safe use. This is a 2 part class, consisting of classroom and live-fire range time. ODM takes care of all the heavy lifting!
FACTORY-CERTIFIED CERAKOTE SERVICES
We have a Cerakote factory-certified cerakote applicator on the team to handle all of your custom coating needs! Whether you want a simple single color change-up, or an elaborate camouflage pattern, we can take care of it! Our applicator is well regarded in the industry and has been applying product for nearly a decade. All of our cerakote is done in-house, there is no sub-contracting or outsourcing. We strive to have a fast turn around, approximately 2 weeks or less! Cerkote service pricing is dependent on the size of the job. Feel free to contact us for pricing and timeline.
Pistol training
Whether you’re a first time shooter or a higher level competitor, ODM has something for you. Firearm safety and manipulation, mechanics, recognizing and clearing various malfunctions quickly and efficiently, or just making a few tweaks here and there, we can get you dialed.
unarmed combatives training
Our unique Combative Self Defense Program draws from the most effective combative fighting systems available, including systems such as Filipino Martial Arts, Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, C.O.B.R.A, Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, and more. There is literally nothing else like this available anywhere.
FFL TRANSFERS
Having trouble finding a reasonable place to have your firearms transferred to? Look no further! ODM Defense is happy to conduct your FFL transfers! We charge a flat fee of $20.00 per transaction, NOT per firearm! Contact us directly with any questions you may have pertaining to our transfer services!
Rifle training
Want to learn to build your very own custom AR-15? We can do that. Want to learn to run that gun? We can do that, too. We offer build classes and multiple levels of rifle training from static range to dynamic movement and working in pairs and teams.
private instruction
Often times, some individuals may not feel safe or comfortable receiving training in a large group of strangers. Not a problem? We are happy to offer one-on-one training and private group instruction at a reasonable hourly rate. If its a standard class we offer, you will not be charged extra for a private group class.
NEVADA STATE PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS LICENSING BOARD ARMED GUARD CERTIFICATION
ODM Defense is state certified and approved to teach both the initial two-day armed guard certification, and the 6-month renewal course. If you are employed by a third-party security contracting company and require either your initial or renewal, contact us for scheduling and we can get you certified!
